Top things to see & do in Cloncurry

The ‘Curry,’ as it is affectionately known, is also dubbed the friendly heart of the great North West.� This gutsy town is the birthplace�of Aussie pioneering legends; the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Qantas.� Cloncurry was named by explorer Robert O’Hara Burke; see his drink bottle at the Burke and Wills display in the Cloncurry Unearthed Museum. Let the kids loose in the Mary Kathleen Memorial Park; there’s a lovely picnic barbecue area and playground; follow the path to the scenic lookout for spectacular views of the region.
