Top things to see & do in Cloncurry

The ‘Curry,’ as it is affectionately known, is also dubbed the friendly heart of the great North West.  This gutsy town is the birthplace of Aussie pioneering legends; the Royal Flying Doctor Service and Qantas.  Cloncurry was named by explorer Robert O’Hara Burke; see his drink bottle at the Burke and Wills display in the Cloncurry Unearthed Museum. Let the kids loose in the Mary Kathleen Memorial Park; there’s a lovely picnic barbecue area and playground; follow the path to the scenic lookout for spectacular views of the region.

Water Tank Mural

It's not easy to miss this when you're in the area! Cloncurry is home to this enormous work of art sprayed over an old water tank. The artist responsible for the work is Joel Fergie, also referred to as 'The Zookeeper'.
